Humble yourself before a mighty and Holy God.  II Chronicles 7:14 CSB, “and My people, who bear My name, humble themselves, pray and seek My face, and turn from their evil ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.” 

Ask God to reveal to you any unconfessed sin in your life, so that you may confess it and repent, so that nothing will hinder your prayers.  Revival starts in your heart first.  Psalm 26:2, “Test me, Lord, and try me; examine my heart and mind.”

Pray for God to bring conviction of sin, spiritual brokenness and genuine repentance among His people.  II Corinthians 7:10, “For godly grief produces a repentance not to be regretted and leading to salvation, but worldly grief produces death.”

Pray for pastors and Christian leaders; that God will bring them to deep cleansing, true repentance, and spiritual power.  Ephesians 6:14-20 (Pray that God’s leaders would truly put on the spiritual armor of God).

Pray that God will develop a true spiritual hunger in His people and draw them to fervent prayer.  Philippians 2:13, “For it is God who is working in you, enabling you both to desire and to work out His good purpose.”

Pray that God will bring true unity to our churches and harmony among our churches.  John 13:35, “ By this all people will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Pray for God to fill His people with passion to see people saved; to break our hearts for the lost and to use us to reach them with the gospel. Romans 9:1-3, “I speak the truth in Christ…that I have intense sorrow and continual anguish in my heart. For I could almost wish to be cursed and cut off from the Messiah for the benefit of my brothers, my own flesh and blood.”

Pray for God to give people a passion for missions and for starting churches.   Matthew 28:19, “Go therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. 

Pray that God will call people into ministry, missions and Christian service.  Matthew 9:37, “The harvest is abundant, but the workers are few.”

Pray that God will pour forth His Spirit like a mighty flood.  James 4:2b, “…You do not have because you do not ask.”

Pray for God to convict people of their sin and their need for salvation.  I Timothy 2:1, “First of all, then, I urge that petitions, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgiving be made for everyone.”

Pray that God will pour out His Spirit like unto the great revivals of days in the past.  John 14:13-14, “Whatever you ask in My name, I will do it so that the Father may be glorified in the Son.  If you ask Me anything in My name, I will do it.”
